I set up a composting bin and planted the first few plants in the rooftop garden! There were discarded plants and other trimmings just lying in a pile on the rooftop, so my first task was to clean that up. I put everything into a big plastic pot that will become my composting bin. I salvaged two aloe vera plants from the discard heap and just stuck those into my pot of potting soil along with a clipping of mint I had.

Next step is to get more pots and gather some soil!
